Is this the movie or a live show?

It's a live stage production with a live band and a full cast, performed in person at The B-29 DOC Hangar. It is not a film screening.

What happens in the show?

A straight-laced young couple, Brad and Janet, break down on a rainy night and wander into the wild mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter. Big songs, bigger characters, and a lot of glitter follow.

Is there audience participation?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it's half the fun. There's a long tradition of dressing up, calling out lines, and using props at certain moments. Join in as much or as little as you like. If you'd rather sit back and watch, you'll fit right in too. We'll have prop packs for sale if you want to join in the fun!

How old should you be to attend?

We recommend the show for ages 13 and up, and leave it to each guest's discretion, with parents' judgment for younger teens. It's a cheeky, grown-up show with adult humor, suggestive moments, and revealing costumes.

What should I wear?

Accepted Answer

Costumes are welcome and encouraged, but never required. Come as a character, come glam, or come exactly as you are. A few rules for safety: no full-face coverings or masks, and no costume pieces that resemble weapons, real or fake. Keep it wearable for a reserved seat and a full house, wear shoes you can actually walk in, and keep it legal for a public show. Venue staff have the final say.

What are prop packs?

Prop packs are bags of goodies for the fun audience moments during the show. Add one to your order when you buy tickets, or grab one at the door. They're the only props permitted inside, so there's nothing else you need to bring.

Doors, parking, and getting there

Doors open 30 minutes before showtime. The show will be held at The DOC Hangar at 1788 S Airport Rd, Wichita, KS 67209. We'll have a bar and food available to purchase, so come early to grab a drink, get settled, and be comfortable before things get started. There's parking at The DOC Hangar and in the surrounding lots. We encourage carpooling, designated drivers, and ride-shares whenever you can.

Can I take photos or video?

No photo or video during the show, period. The venue is a great backdrop though, so snap all the pictures you want before and after the performance.

No outside food or drink, please. We'll have a full bar and food available to purchase at the venue.
